RIP Tony Hirst
It is with sadness that I inform the club of the death of my friend Tony Hirst. Some older members will remember him as an early member of the Yorks and Lancs club, who was an accomplished clubman rider in his time. I knew him in the early sixties when he rode with the Halifax club, and also Spen Valley, mostly riding Sprites and Fantics.
Tony was a great believer in Tiger Cubs, which he built to a high standard and were always
Immaculately turned out.
He passed away in Halifax General on 4th March, aged 83.
He leaves his wife, Irene, who members may remember as an observer at our trials, two children and a grandson.

Bernard Whitaker.
