Barry Pickard Rest In Peace
It is with great sadness we have to bring the news that club stalwart Barry passed away on 30.10.21, after a long battle with cancer.
A life-long motorcyclist, with success on both grass tracks and trials,as well as been quite handy on a road bike.
As one of the founding members of the club, Barry took up administration roles when his competitive riding days ended. Over time he did pretty much every role in the club, before finishing up as club chairman. In retirement, he was spending 2 to 3 days around every trial working on club business. His efficiency at producing results was legendary, he aimed to get the result out before some riders had left the post-trial pub session.
As a keen photographer, Barry also leaves the club a legacy of thousands of photos and over 200 videos. He had over 500 followers on youtube, with each of his videos often getting 2 to 3 thousand views. All expertly commented on with his trademark sense of humour, sharing his knowledge of machines and riders .
Barry leaves a big hole in the club, and will be sadly missed by all that had the pleasure to know him.
