Club Photos
This is a collection of photos from the 40's, 50's, and 60's.
The oldest photos show the late George Cordingly in the 40's on his 350 BSA which was used for trials, scramblers, on and off road hill climbs as well as daily transport.
There are shots of Keith Butterfield from 1953, he can be seen riding Geoff Broadbent's works 350 Royal Enfield at what is now Leeds/ Bradford airport. Geoff had broken his leg, and as a true Yorkshireman had loaned the bike to Keith on the understanding that any prize money was shared.
Keith Can also been seen in 1956 at Post Hill racing his 500 Gold Sar against no other than Jeff Smith on the works Goldie.
The Group shot includes Current club Chairman Neil Anderton (Bike no. 34) alongside Bob Lee.
There are 3 pictures of Mick Whitlow, riding a C15 in 1964, a sprite in 1966,and Triumph twin scrambler at Otley Chevin. The Triumph was bought as an accident damaged road bike, repaired with the front end off an ES2 Norton and converted to a scrambler sharing the tank with his Sprite. After Mick took up modern trials, the bike was left in the back of his garage until the 90's when it was converted into his pre-65 trials bike using a Royal Enfield frame.
There is one shot of Terry Wright on his Terry Wright Special (TWS), Greeves frame, C15 engine and Norton Forks.
One of the later photos show Paul England riding the works cub at Moor End in the 1967 Alan Jefferies Trial.
